This course addresses modern practices and techniques of the purchasing and supply management (PSM) function. Included in the coverage of PSM are supply organization, quality, supplier selection, price determination, purchasing policy and procedures, material and logistic systems, inventory, global purchasing, acquisition of capital assets and supplier relations. This course is designed to help students to prepare for examinations leading to professional certification in supply chain management.
