Catalog description

This course provides students with an understanding and in-depth examination of the Gig Economy, which is a labor market characterized by the prevalence of short-term contracts or freelance work as opposed to permanent jobs. Students will learn to recognize, analyze and assess the opportunities and challenges associated with the Gig Economy. The course will incorporate instructor lectures, guest speakers, in-class discussions, supplemental readings, student presentations and class projects.
