Catalog description

This course is geared towards students who are about to enter the job market or have a creative arts career. The course explores résumé building and portfolio development in addition to business considerations of a practicing visual artist. Topics include personal goal assessment, job applications, creating a marketing plan, operating as a freelancer; pricing your work; legal aspects for artists such as writing contracts; project and client management and much more. Refining a professional portfolio and building a portfolio website are emphasized.
