Intro to Printmaking and Mixed Media

Catalog description

This course introduces concepts, materials and methods of using printmaking and mixed media applications to solve creative problems. Students are exposed to and experiment with a variety of media such as relief printing, monotype, screen printing, textiles, papermaking and/or multiples. Class sessions will comprise independent and collaborative printing, lectures, demonstrations, discussions and critiques. Students will be introduced to the work of artists and the historical and cultural tradition of printmaking and mixed media.
