Catalog description

In this course, students develop piano skills for music therapy clinical practice with a focus on jazz and improvisation. Applying these skills, students sing and play music from different time periods and in different styles, arranging these songs in ways that reflect core elements of the style. In addition, students demonstrate sight reading and transposition skills that reflect the clinical practice needs of music therapists.
