Catalog description

This course is an introduction to fieldwork in archeology including excavation, survey, analysis and laboratory processing. Anthropological theory as applied to material culture, New and Old World prehistory and the history of archaeology will also be covered. Students will receive training in all practical aspects of archaeology and an understanding of the concepts and ideas archaeologists utilize in interpreting both historic and prehistoric sites.
