Catalog description

Shielded Metal Arc Welding Ill is a competency-based course designed to further develop students' skills in shielded metal arc welding (aka SMAW, 'stick' or more broadly 'arc'). Throughout this course, students will focus on welding T­-joints in the 4F position using a 6010 electrode. This includes welding 4F, 38, and 68 T-joints with the specified electrode. successful students will achieve a score of 80% or above on the Visual Test Rubric for each weld.
