Catalog description

Gas Metal Arc Welding II is a competency-based course aimed at enhancing students' proficiency in gas metal arc welding (aka GMAW or ·mig· ) techniques. Students will focus on performing groove welds using the GMAW welding process in various positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead, with the assistance of a backing strip. Successful students will score of 80% or above on the Visual Weld Rubric and meet all criteria on the Bend Test Rubric for each welding position.
