Catalog description

Introduction to Inspection for Welders is a competency-based course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skllls necessary to examine workpieces for defects in accordance with industry standards. This course aligns wllh lhe AWS SENSE Level 1 and Level 2 criteria, ensuring lhat students meet Industry-recognized national education standards. Students will learn to use inspection tools and equipment for visual examination, including fll!et gauges and magnifying lenses. Additionally, students will develop proficiency in visually inspecting welds for size, process, and discontinuities or defects, utilizing correct measuring tools, checking weld dimensions, identifying visual weld defects, and dislingulshing visually satisfactory welds.
