Catalog description

Metal Working Tools is a competency-based course focusing on the safe and effective operation of hand and power tools commonly used In the welding trade. Students will leam to complete job safety and environmental analyses for metal working tools, identifying potential hazards, recommending safe job procedures, and selecting appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Through practical skill demonstrations, students will develop proficiency In using metal working tools while adhering to safety protocols, perfonning visual inspections, wearing proper PPE, and utilizing tool safeguards to ensure a safe working environment.
