This competency-based course serves as an Introduction to the fundamentals of welding, equipping students with essential skills In utl!lzing hand and power tools commonly employed in welding, including shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment. Through theoretical instruction and practical app!icatlon, students will develop proficiency in ldentlfyfng various Joint types, describing welding polarities and processes, utilizing measuring devices, applying basic electrical concepts to welding, and executing welding techniques such as welding a flat baad with a 6013 rod. Additionally, students will learn to set up welding equipment safely and efficienUy.
