Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the theory and application of statistics. The course of study will include descriptive methods of data analysis, probability theory, counting techniques, probability distributions including binomial and normal distributions, correlation, regression, one-sample and two-sample hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, chi-square, sampling and simulation techniques, and analysis of variance. Graphing calculators will be used. The lab component will cover Intermediate Algebra review topics that correspond to weekly course content.
