The course is designed to provide the student with techniques of emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured. Emphasis is also placed on the legal and ethical responsibilities of the EMT, anatomy and physiology of the human body, resuscitation and defibrillation, techniques of using emergency equipment, and incident management.
