Catalog description
This course provides an overview of the computing field and current business applications. Basic computer terminology, application software, system software (including operating systems), and the function of computer hardware components are covered as well as network technologies and digital defense. This course also provides training in business productivity software including word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation graphics, and web technologies. This course uses all or some of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs. The students must use a current version of Microsoft Windows on a compatible computer in order to successfully complete the course.
