Catalog description
This course is designed to provide practical skills to those in an administrative-type position. Motivational principles and the art of empowering and developing people are crucial skills for the supervisor and are covered in this course. Decision making, managing time and stress, labor unions, performance appraisals, coaching, work groups, diversity, employment legislation, safe work environment, troubled employees, and conflict resolution are topics studied by students who aspire to be successful supervisors. This course uses all or some of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs. The students must use a current version of Microsoft Windows on a compatible computer in order to successfully complete the course.
