Catalog description
Corequisite: BIO 113 A foundational course designed primarily for the non-biology major who needs to complete a course about the study of life. This course, with the lecture and its accompanying laboratory, are not only ideal for majors who need both course components, but also satisfy the science General Education requirement. An introduction to the fundamental biological principles, including chemistry, cells, and function; genetics; evolution; ecology; and body systems will be emphasized. There are three (3), 50-minute lectures per week.
