Catalog description

This is a required course for the Associate Degree Nursing program at Shasta College and one of two corequisite courses that comprise the fourth semester. The course provides the conceptual basis for advanced medical-surgical, mental health, and community health nursing, and fundamental concepts of nursing leadership. The emphasis of the course is on nursing process and critical thinking related to care of the client in a variety of settings, and the current leadership issues involved in nursing practice. This course may be offered in a distance education format.
