Advisory: While this course is open to all students, an assessment may be conducted by the instructor to determine if the student has the required skills to succeed in the course. <br> Note: Performances are a required component of this course. <br> <br> This course offers musicians the opportunity to gain experience in a symphonic band setting. The ensemble emphasizes the development of ensemble skills, musicality, and stylistic awareness through the study and performance of accessible concert band repertoire. This course is designed for older adults but also provides an experience for college students, lifelong learners, and those seeking to build confidence in large ensemble performance. Rehearsals focus on listening, collaboration, and refining intermediate instrumental techniques, culminating in public performances.
