Advisory: While this course is open to all students, an assessment will be conducted by the instructor to determine if the student has the required skills to succeed in the course. <br> Note: Performances are a required component of this course. <br> <br> This performance-based course provides students with the opportunity to rehearse and perform major works from the symphonic repertoire. It emphasizes ensemble skills, musical interpretation, and individual musicianship, and includes regular rehearsals, sectional coaching, and public performances. It is open to students and older adults with intermediate to advanced proficiency on orchestral instruments.
