This course is a sociological and psychological analysis of family as an institution, including historical and recent changes, its present nature, and the socio-cultural and economic forces shaping these changes. Topics studied include dating, courtship, marriage, family life, dual career marriages, divorce, single parenting, domestic violence, and other contemporary issues. This course may be offered in a distance education format.
