Advisory: Essay-writing skills and eligibility to enroll in a transfer-level English Composition course , or English Placement Level 6 or higher. <br> <br> This course is designed to explore how television has influenced and changed the ways that people interpret and reflect upon the world around them. It is a window as to the effects that television has had on contemporary culture, regarding the arts and creative expression, history, language, and aesthetics. The changing content of the television medium and its influence on society will be examined through the humanities perspective. This course may be offered in a distance education format.
