Advisory: ENGL C1000 with a grade of C or better. <br> <br> This course is an introduction to the Health Information Technology profession. It includes an overview of the American healthcare delivery system, health information functions and responsibilities, health services organization and delivery methods, health data, structure and use, regulatory standards and requirements, information systems, and health information privacy and security. This course may be offered in a distance education format.
