Advisory: English Placement Level 6 or higher or essay-writing skills and eligibility to enroll in a transfer-level English Composition course <br> <br> This course is a historical survey of the United States from the end of the Civil War to the present. The course also introduces students to historical reasoning skills. The course covers the rise of industrialization, the expansion of America into world affairs, the causes and results of the Great Depression, the world wars of the 20th century, the Cold War, and post-9/11 America. This course may be offered in a distance education format.
