Note: This course does not include P.C. 832 Firearms Training. Students wishing to receive such training need to concurrently enroll in ADJU 102 (ADJU 102 requires Live Scan fingerprint submission and DOJ clearance letter) <br> Note: This course may be repeated any number of times for credit by persons who are legally mandated to meet training requirements as a condition of continued paid or volunteer employment. <br> <br> This is a 40-hour course designed to satisfy the requirement for Peace Officers, identified in Sections 830.10 and 830.11 of the Penal Code. This course is the first of two components of the PC 832 Academy. Subjects include orientations, ethics, discretionary decision-making, arrest, search, seizure, communications, and examination. In order to meet P.O.S.T.'s minimum arrest techniques requirements, this course involves stressful physical activities that require full use of arms and legs with no back or other medical impairments. A DOJ Clearance Letter is not required for this course.
