Catalog description

The theological study of the Church is presented from scriptural, historical, and doctrinal perspectives for an introduction to the fundamentals of ecclesiology considering the Second Vatican Council’s dogmatic constitution Lumen Gentium. Topics include the necessity of the Church for salvation, apostolic succession, biblical images for the Church, the Four Marks, Trinitarian and Communion ecclesiologies, the mission of the Church, the role of the Magisterium, papal primacy, and the development of Marian doctrine in the life of the Church.
