Catalog description
An examination of the present state of civilizational evolution, how we have gotten to this point, and possible civilizational futures. The course will draw on the insights of evolutionary science, global studies, the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, and futurology in both civilizational analysis and assessment. Civilizational challenges including sustainability, global inequalities, multiculturalism, transhumanism, and the crisis of meaning will be addressed.
