This course explores the critical importance of understanding the diversity of cultures and all the intersectionality in the delivery of healthcare services. Students will examine how cultural beliefs, values, and practices influence health behaviors and outcomes across diverse populations. Students will also learn about the impact of external forces like provider behavior, societal messaging, and more. The curriculum will cover key concepts such as history, health disparities, communication styles, intersectionality, traditions, social determinants of health and more.
