Encountering Other Religions

Catalog description

This course explores the major approaches to how one religion views other religions. We will focus on Jewish and Christian material. Some of the lectures will focus on the Islamic, Hindu, or Buddhist parallels. The objective is to gain a sense of how we relate to other religion besides the extremes of pluralism or rejection.
