Womanist,Mujerista & Fem Theol

Catalog description

This course will examine womanist, mujerista, and a variety of feminist theologies. We will start with pioneering voices, trace the development of these traditions, and consider the interplay of theology, ethics, feminism, race, nationality, and other forms of identity and social justice concerns. While the course will primarily focus on Christianity, other religions will be explored as well. Learning will take place through lectures, large and small group discussions, class presentations, experiential exercises, in-class journaling, and other written assignments.
