Catalog description

The primary goal of this course is to help students understand the fundamental components of good teaching at the college level based on empirical research. During the course of the semester we will discuss various aspects of teaching as a profession, and students will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in this process as they work with their assigned faculty member as a teaching assistant. Course assignments will also help refine analytical reading and presentation skills.
