Catalog description

The short story is one of Italy's oldest and most successful literary forms. This course will focus on the form and history of this genre and its authors, as well as on the periods in which it flourished: the Middle Ages and Renaissance (I), and the period from the Nineteenth century to the present day (II). It will explore the narrative aspects of the short story and provide students with an understanding of the genre, and the historical context in which it developed. Conducted in Italian.
