A critical reading of Manzoni's 19th-century historical work, 'I Promessi Sposi,' the first novel written in Italian literature, and a study of other representatives of this genre from Ugo Foscolo to Umberto Eco. The course aims to explore the relationship between literature and history from Romanticism to the 20th century. Conducted in Italian.
