Traces the history of American women from the split of the suffrage movement in1869 through the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment, through the women’s movement and into the 1980s and 1990s. This course will ask students to think not just about women’s impact on American politics, culture and society, but also about how the American historical narrative changes when viewed through women’s eyes.
