Catalog description

Freshman Seminar is a small-group, discussion-based course designed for first-year history majors. Through common readings and seminar dialogue, students explore a focused historical question or theme, build foundational skills in historical thinking and analysis, and begin to engage with the discipline’s methods and approaches. The seminar also fosters a community of learners and serves as an introduction to the History Program.
