Catalog description

This course presents both the normal and pathological human body responses to physiological conditions and processes in relationship to their influence on human performance. Emphasis is placed on the role of nutrition in human performance, as well as the study of muscle physiology, metabolism, cardiovascular and respiratory adaptations, aging, thermoregulation, strengthening, aerobic and anaerobic training and exercise prescription. Application of examination and evaluation procedures is provided through the use of selected human performance instruments.
