Candidates will be introduced to the value and instructional strategies of multisensory approaches to foster and deepen learning in literacy. When given the opportunity to engage multiple forms of knowing through auditory, visual, kinesthetic, and tactile systems, students experience a wholistic connection to the content. This approach emphasizes explicit, direct teaching and opportunities with rich practice.
