Economics of Globalization and Urbanization

Catalog description

The course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of economics in a global context. It will define aspects of economic globalization using political, geographic, demographic, topological, urban, cultural, and social tools in order to understand its global impact. Ethics and social responsibility will be applied to the analysis of economic, and human issues, as well as the collective decisions that are made and their impact. Technology will be integrated to increase the understanding and analysis of economics, politics, demographics and geography and the impact on populations around the world.
