Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth exploration of theory, assessment, and intervention methods for use with individual, groups, and communities impacted by trauma, loss, and stress related disorders. Emphasis is placed on understanding trauma and loss, including racial trauma, and their impact across the lifespan, within diverse cultural contexts, and across systems. Specific focus is on developing knowledge and skills in evidence-based methods, working with diverse populations, and ethical practice including counselor self-awareness and wellness as trauma informed practitioners.
