Catalog description

Students engage in comparative study of formal schooling between the United States and a case study country. The course culminates in a travel segment in which students make firsthand visits to schooling sites in the case study country. By participating in the class, students will enrich their understanding of US formal schooling through comparative analysis, develop familiarity with Catholic Social Teaching in relation to formal schooling, and exercise attitudes consistent with global competence.
