Catalog description

This course explores the complex relationship between gender, power, the Bible and biblical interpretation across several centuries. Using a combination of historical, literary, theological and gender-critical approaches, we explore how readers from differing historical and religious contexts draw on the Bible to make claims about gender relations and structural power.
