This course provides a foundational introduction to bioinformatics, focusing on computational methods for analyzing biological data. Topics include sequence alignment, genome annotation, structural bioinformatics, phylogenetics, and functional genomics. Students will gain hands-on experience with bioinformatics tools, databases, and programming for biological data analysis. Emphasis will be placed on problem-solving, algorithmic approaches, and the interpretation of results in a biological context.
