Human Anatomy and Physiology I is the first of a two-semester series that introduces the structure and function of the human body through molecular, cellular, tissue, and organ system levels. Elements of structure as a basis for understanding function of major body systems include the topics of: basic chemistry, basic cell biology, tissues, skeletal system, muscular system, blood, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, and immune system. Emphasis on the regulation of body processes to maintain homeostasis/wellbeing in the face of changing environment or disease challenge. Not for Biology majors.
