Biblical Archeology

Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to provide students with an introduction to biblical archaeology. The course (1) introduces students to the history of archaeology in the Holy Land, (2) reviews the nature, goals, and methods used by archaeologists in excavating and studying the material and religious cultures of the Bible, and (3) explores ways in which archaeological data can be placed in dialogue with the study of Scripture.
