Catalog description
This course continues with the third volume of your textbook, al-kitab, covering Lessons 2 to 5. The course focuses on advanced grammar, listening, reading, writing, and speaking, with attention to the language of contemporary Arabic society, politics, and culture. The course is conducted in Arabic and uses task-based language teaching to strengthen communication skills, and it is technologically enhanced. Students learn strategies for comprehending and expressing ideas in both oral and written contexts and deepen their understanding of Arabic-speaking cultures. Classroom time is devoted to conversation (skits and discussions) and grammar exercises (including skim-reading tasks) plus an advanced level of writing/ composition and oral expression.
