Catalog description

User Experience (UX) Design is informed by studying user behavior through research-based methods. A UX Designer takes into consideration the emotional and functional needs of the end user to create experiences that are usable, desirable, and enjoyable. In this course, students will gain knowledge in and participate in qualitative and quantitative research studies to understand user needs. They will conduct usability tests on prototypes to gauge viability of products and create iterations based on found data. There will be a strong focus on storytelling as it relates to empathetic perspectives.
