Catalog description
(Prerequisites: Completion of the GE Written Communication requirement) Students will study rhetorical theory, the culture of social media, and information literacy in order to enhance their communication skills and persuasive abilities in social media environments. Assignments address both the production and consumption of texts in these sites. Possible discussion topics include identity construction, privacy/surveillance, and functional literacy.
