Prerequisites: ( PHIL 120 and PHIL 210 ) A philosophy survey course in which issues of perennial and contemporary human concern are addressed by way of a study of contemporary thinkers and texts that bring the History of Philosophy into conversation with and to bear on analyses of such matters as, forgiveness, commitment, illness, deception, love, work, hope, distraction, money, fame, well-being, personal identity, death, science and sport.
