Catalog description
An introduction to philosophy via a look at key exemplars or archetypes of doing this kind of critical reflection through the centuries. Students will do take-home exams that involve applying their knowledge of each thinker to concrete contemporary situations. The aim is wonder, not memorization. Students who have taken PHIL 122X are not eligible to take PHIL 120.
