. For non-business majors, substitution of ECO 101 in place of ECO 153 , ECO 154 is permissible. This course introduces the business student to the field of finance. It serves as the foundation course for financial principles used in both financial management and investment courses. Topics include time value of money, risk analysis, basic operation of the capital markets, current asset and liability analysis, and introduction to the topics of capital budgeting and cost of capital calculation.
