Through studying primary literature, this course explores how biological evolution on short time scales (from days to decades) shapes a world increasingly dominated by humans. We will delve into how evolutionary responses both create and ameliorate problems in human-dominated systems, exploring how humans affect evolution in agriculture, conservation, and medicine.
